How do I find my size?

We strongly advise you to measure up before purchasing our items against the measurements we have provided to avoid returns which are at the cost of the buyer. We have tried to be as accurate as we can with our measurements but please remember we are only human, and mistakes will very occasionally happen.

We always try to provide you with the most accurate measurements we can at Dog & Bone. You'll find from shop to shop, in the world of modern clothing sizes can vary vastly and if you apply the from shop to shop thing to decade to decade, it can be a minefield. This is why we measure our items as accurately as possible and provide what we feel will help you with your purchase. 

Our items go into storage once listed on the website so we are unable to answer further questions once the item is live. This is why we offer a no quarms refund policy.

How about condition?

Please be aware. All our true vintage items come with a story, and we cannot guarantee any item will be totally free of marks / damage. Anything we think of note will be mentioned. Furthermore, a lot of vintage items gain character because of wear and tear. Buying a true vintage item is not the same as buying new and is not to be confused with second-hand clothing.

We truly love every item we upload to the site and are sharing items we would love to have in our own wardrobe - We only note down issues that we think we would like to know ourselves as a buyer - but please remember details buyers would like to know do vary and that is why we take such detailed photos of the clothing, so please examine carefully. All of our clothing will have some age, and wear due to the nature of vintage and antique clothing and a lot of this wear is commensurate with the age of the item. We are astounded some of this clothing has made it to this point in the condition it has. 

Lastly please remember we are just human beings doing a job we love, and if we have missed a detail you are concerned by lets not argue, you can simply return the item for a full refund. Terms of this are below.

We have also tried to accurately depict each garment using a photography setup with over 90% true to life accuracy. 

We do not take photos of inside the garment.

Do you buy vintage clothing?

We do not buy from the public, buy source all of our vintage through the worldwide recycling chain from the EU and the US. Having said that we do take an interest in rare museum grade items from the 1900s - 50s - More specifically we have an interest in Americana, branding, motors and sportswear from the bygone eras but I am afraid we only buy true speciality items of interest. 

When do you ship?

We ship all items within 5 working days. I'm afraid we do not have the capacity to ship next day or sooner. 

At present we are able to ship to the UK and Canada. We hope to expand our global shipping programme in the future.

• UK – Tracked £4.50 (2–4 business days)
  Shipped via Royal Mail Tracked.

• Canada – Tracked International £19.95 (7–14 business days, allow up to 17)
  Shipped via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.

• U.S. – Shipping currently paused
  Due to recent changes in U.S. import rules and postal services, we’ve temporarily paused shipping to the United States.

• EU & Rest of World – Not available

What about refunds?

We accept refunds within 14 days of the item arriving with you if you are in the UK, and 30 days if you are in Canada.

This means the returned item must be back with us within those timeframes (14 days for UK orders, 30 days for Canada).

Please leave all tags attached to the item of clothing and ensure it is returned in the same condition it arrived in to be eligible for a refund.

We will process your refund within 7 days of receiving the returned item.

Please note: return postage is at the cost of the buyer.

Please bear in mind we’re a very small family team, so replies may take a little longer during busy periods — but we always make sure everyone is looked after.
