Provenance Note: Kennington were a Los Angeles-based knitwear and sportswear label with a strong output of licensed character and novelty knits through the 1960s and 70s. Their Walt Disney Productions pieces — produced under official licence — are among the most sought-after items from that era of American knitwear, combining the craft of a proper intarsia knit with the cultural weight of the Disney licence. This example is in excellent shape: the pattern is crisp, the colours are strong, and the Mickey figure is cleanly rendered.
