Full-zip Woolrich jackets from the 1950s are far less common than standard Mackinaw coats, produced in smaller numbers and typically worn as hard-use outdoor layers. This example stands out for its unusual colourway and intact wool weight, reflecting a period when Woolrich experimented beyond its most familiar plaids. Pieces of this type surface infrequently and appeal to collectors looking for something more nuanced than the classic Mackinaw silhouette.
