1960s–Early 1970s | Sears | Cargo Trousers | Dark Indigo – w34

Sale price£95.00

Description:

Item:
Original late-1960s to early-1970s Sears workwear cargo trousers, finished in a deep indigo tone with strong contrast stitching. Classic utilitarian construction with large side cargo pockets, reinforced seams, and a period-correct Scovill zip, which supports the 60s–early 70s dating. Straight-leg cut with a robust, work-ready silhouette, designed for durability and movement rather than fashion-led shaping. The leg has that functional, slightly boxy workwear line typical of the era.

Era:
1960s–early 1970s

Brand:
Sears

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Fabric remains strong with even colour throughout and light, honest wear consistent with age. Stitching is intact and the Scovill zip functions smoothly. No structural issues noted.

Provenance Note:
Sears workwear is a proper pillar of mid-century American utility clothing, and pieces like this have the right mix of authenticity and wearability. The Scovill zip is a key detail collectors look for, marking these as true period trousers rather than a later nod to the style. Built to be used hard and still show up decades later, they’re a strong, honest survivor with excellent modern crossover appeal.

Measurements:

Outer leg: 43"

Condition Notes:

Please be aware. All our true vintage items come with a history, and minor signs of age, wear, or character should be expected. Any notable marks, damage, or repairs will always be clearly mentioned. This natural wear is part of what gives genuine vintage its individuality and authenticity. True vintage should not be confused with modern second-hand clothing

We photograph all garments using a professional, studio-grade imaging system designed to show colour, texture, and shape as accurately as possible. This setup was built specifically to give a true representation of each piece and avoid misleading presentation, however, we do not take photos of inside the garment. While we take great care in inspecting every piece, with true vintage it is always possible that a minor detail may be missed.

Sizing Notes:

Please compare these measurements to a similar item you already own, laid flat (rather than measuring your body). Start with pit-to-pit (chest), then check length. Vintage pieces can be cut boxier and shorter than modern equivalents, so the measurements listed are the best guide to fit.

For trousers, please compare the waist and leg measurements to a pair you already own, laid flat, rather than measuring your body directly.

Our modern sizing estimates are based on chest measurements using the following tee / shirt sizing scale:

31–34″ = XXS
35–36″ = XS
37–38″ = S
39–40″ = M
41–42″ = L
43–44″ = XL
45–46″ = XXL
47–48″ = 3XL

For jackets, knitwear, and padded outerwear, we grade one size down from the tee scale to allow for structure, lining, and bulk.
