1970s–80s | Iron Enterprises | Cowichan-Style Skull Zip Cardigan – Cream/Black - S

Sale price£115.00

Description:

Item: Heavy-gauge wool zip cardigan with shawl collar and metal zipper. Rare skull-and-crossbones style motif front and back in black on cream; hand pockets; deep rib cuffs and hem. Label reads “Handknit by Indoch & Labbins Park – Iron Enterprises Ltd., Victoria, B.C., Canada.”

Era: 1970s–1980s

Brand: Iron Enterprises Ltd. (Victoria, B.C.)

Condition: Excellent structure with natural pilling to the wool only; no holes, thinning or structural issues. Zip smooth and pockets sound.

Provenance Note: A striking and unusually graphic Cowichan-style knit from Iron Enterprises of Victoria, B.C.—a small maker known for genuine hand-knit production during the period. The skull motif is exceptionally scarce within Cowichan-influenced work, giving this piece real collector pull and strong display value. Dense, warm, hand-knit wool and true 70s–80s construction make it both a wearable statement and a serious archive piece for those who collect beyond the standard deer and geometric patterns.
