1970s | Floral Blouse | Orange - 16

Sale price£35.00

Description:

Item:
Original 1970s floral blouse in a bold orange, yellow, cream and brown palette, with a sharp pointed collar, button-front fastening and an all-over oversized floral print. Cut with a straight, easy body and a lightly relaxed fit, giving it that very typical 1970s blouse shape. The print does most of the work here, with the large-scale pattern giving it a strong period look straight away. As with good vintage polyester blends of this era, the fabric was made for durability, colour retention and shape, and feels very different in purpose to later cheap synthetic fast-fashion fabrics.

Era:
1970s

Condition:
Good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. Presents well overall from the front, with the print remaining bright and lively.

Provenance Note:
This is exactly the sort of 1970s blouse that still catches the eye because the print is so unapologetically of its time. The oversized florals, warm earthy palette and sharp collar give it real visual strength, while the straightforward cut keeps it easy to wear. It has that rich, decorative quality that makes 1970s pieces so rewarding, offering plenty of impact without needing anything complicated from the styling.

Condition Notes:

Please be aware. All our true vintage items come with a history, and minor signs of age, wear, or character should be expected. Any notable marks, damage, or repairs will always be clearly mentioned. This natural wear is part of what gives genuine vintage its individuality and authenticity. True vintage should not be confused with modern second-hand clothing

We photograph all garments using a professional, studio-grade imaging system designed to show colour, texture, and shape as accurately as possible. This setup was built specifically to give a true representation of each piece and avoid misleading presentation; however, we do not take photos of inside the garment. While we take great care in inspecting every piece, with true vintage it is always possible that a minor detail may be missed.

Sizing Notes:

Please compare these measurements to a similar item you already own, laid flat (rather than measuring your body). Start with the bust measurement, then check length. Vintage sizing runs small and cuts vary significantly from modern equivalents, so the measurements listed are the best guide to fit.
