1970s | Hand Knit | Fair Isle Wool Jumper - M/L

Sale price£65.00

Description:

Item: Substantial hand-knitted wool jumper featuring an all-over Fair Isle style pattern in deep navy with lilac, cream and muted peach tones. Ribbed crew neckline, cuffs and hem, with a dense, traditional knit and a slightly boxy, authentic vintage silhouette.

Era: 1970s. The colour palette, motif scale and hand-knit construction place this firmly in the 1970s, when bold Nordic-influenced patterns and heavier wool knits were at their peak.

Brand: Hand knit. Unlabelled aside from a small wool content tag, typical of period hand-knitted pieces rather than factory production.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Knit remains tight and even throughout with no holes or thinning. Light, even wear consistent with age, giving the piece softness and character without detracting from structure.

Provenance note: Genuine 1970s hand-knitted Fair Isle jumpers are increasingly scarce, particularly in darker, wearable colourways like this. A proper cold-weather piece with real weight and presence, far removed from modern lightweight reproductions.
