1970s | Harris Tweed | USA Tailored Wool Blazer - S/M

Sale price£65.00

Description:

Item: 1970s American-tailored blazer cut from genuine Harris Tweed wool, woven in the Outer Hebrides and finished in the USA. Classic single-breasted construction with notched lapels, two-button front, and a structured but wearable silhouette. The cloth has that unmistakable Harris Tweed density and texture, balanced here with a warm brown palette that reads rich rather than heavy. Fully lined.

Era: 1970s

Brand: Harris Tweed (USA tailored)

Condition: Very good vintage condition with light, even wear consistent with age. The tweed remains robust with excellent body, and the lining is clean and intact. No notable issues, presenting as a well-preserved example.

Provenance Note:
Harris Tweed carried real weight in mid-century American tailoring, prized for its durability and depth rather than fashion cycles. This jacket reflects that transatlantic relationship perfectly: traditional Scottish cloth shaped to suit American proportions and lifestyles. The appeal lies in the quality of the material and the confidence of the cut, both of which have aged gracefully. It’s the kind of piece that was bought once and worn for years, valued for substance over statement, and that honesty still comes through clearly today.
