Very good vintage condition. Fabric remains strong with excellent colour and definition to the plaid. No thinning, no repairs and no structural issues. Light, even wear only, the kind of honest ageing that adds character without compromising wearability.

JC Penney produced some of the best everyday tailoring in the 1970s, using heavier fabrics and solid construction that were designed to last. This poly cotton blend is from the period when blends were chosen to combine durability, shape retention and comfort, not as a shortcut on quality. Pieces like this show why vintage department store tailoring still stands above most modern equivalents and why originals in this condition are becoming increasingly hard to replace.
