Provenance Note:
This is proper era synthetic blending, not modern fast-fashion fabric. In the 1960s and 1970s, polyester and poly-cotton were developed as premium performance textiles, valued for durability, colour retention, and resistance to fatigue through repeated wear and washing. Sears used these blends to produce garments that could withstand real working life. That is why pieces like this still present so well today. It represents a period when synthetic fibres were engineered for longevity, not cost cutting, and shirts like this have become some of the most reliable survivors of American workwear design.
