Description:

Item: 1970s long sleeve cropped blouse by TGL of Sweden in a cotton and poly blend. Burgundy ground with a large-scale lime green print of tropical leaves and botanical cloud forms, the motifs broad and boldly stated across the fabric. Round neckline, raglan sleeves with elasticated cuffs gathering into a full balloon volume, and an elasticated hem sitting at the waist.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: The burgundy and lime green combination gives this the strongest contrast of the three colourways in this design, the lime leaf forms reading with real intensity against the deep ground. Where the blue versions have an airy quality, this one is richer and more autumnal in character, the two colours pushing hard against one another in a way that suits the large scale of the botanical forms well. The balloon sleeve and elasticated waist construction is the same throughout, well-suited to the lightweight fabric and giving the blouse its characteristic generous, easy volume.
