Description:

Item: Lightweight knitted Henley sweater in off-white, featuring a ribbed crew neckline with four-button placket, ribbed cuffs and hem. Clean, minimal design with a slightly sheer knit typical of period leisure and sportswear.

Era: 1970s. The buttoned Henley placket, fine-gauge knit and relaxed proportions place this firmly in the 70s rather than earlier athletic knits or later 80s styles.

Brand: Unbranded (no maker label present).

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Some light, even yellowing consistent with age and wear, which adds softness and character rather than detracting. No holes or major flaws noted.

Provenance note: A quietly versatile 1970s knit that works equally well layered or worn on its own. Unbranded Henley knits of this quality are increasingly scarce, especially in neutral tones that haven’t been over-cleaned or modernised.
