Description:

Item: Polyester blouse with an all-over landscape print, button-through front, oversized pointed collar and buttoned cuffs. Straight, easy cut with slightly dropped shoulders and full-length sleeves.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: A blouse printed all over with a repeating landscape scene of trees, banks and water worked in greens and teals against a black ground, with a fine spray of speckling running through the darker areas to give the print depth. Small birds appear throughout the design. The oversized pointed collar sits wide across the shoulders, and the button-through front runs to the hem with buttoned cuffs at the wrist. Made in France. This is the old style of polyester, with a fine fluid drape and a matte surface that carries the print in full colour and keeps it there.
