1980s–1990s | Levi’s 501 | Made in USA | Original Denim Jeans | Brown Denim – w30
Description:
Item:
Original Levi’s 501 jeans dating from the 1980s–1990s, Made in USA. Paper patch is no longer present, but the cut, pocket shape, arcuate stitching, rivet placement and overall construction are all correct to original 501 production. Classic straight-leg fit with a high rise and structured seat, sitting firm at the waist and falling cleanly through the leg. The brown denim gives a rarer alternative to standard blue or stone-washed examples while keeping the unmistakable 501 silhouette intact.
Era:
1980s–1990s
Brand:
Levi’s
Condition:
Good vintage condition with visible wear and natural softening throughout. Honest signs of use that add depth and individuality to the fabric. Denim remains strong with solid seams and no structural issues.
Provenance Note:
Label-less 501s are still true originals when the construction tells the story, and in this case everything points clearly to genuine Levi’s production. Made in USA 501s from the 80s and 90s sit at the end of Levi’s true American manufacturing era, built from heavier denim and designed to age through wear rather than wear out. The brown denim makes this pair especially distinctive, turning a classic workwear silhouette into something both subtle and quietly collectible.

Condition Notes:
Please be aware. All our true vintage items come with a history, and minor signs of age, wear, or character should be expected. Any notable marks, damage, or repairs will always be clearly mentioned. This natural wear is part of what gives genuine vintage its individuality and authenticity. True vintage should not be confused with modern second-hand clothing
We photograph all garments using a professional, studio-grade imaging system designed to show colour, texture, and shape as accurately as possible. This setup was built specifically to give a true representation of each piece and avoid misleading presentation, however, we do not take photos of inside the garment. While we take great care in inspecting every piece, with true vintage it is always possible that a minor detail may be missed.
Sizing Notes:
Please compare these measurements to a similar item you already own, laid flat (rather than measuring your body). Start with pit-to-pit (chest), then check length. Vintage pieces can be cut boxier and shorter than modern equivalents, so the measurements listed are the best guide to fit.
For trousers, please compare the waist and leg measurements to a pair you already own, laid flat, rather than measuring your body directly.
Our modern sizing estimates are based on chest measurements using the following tee / shirt sizing scale:
31–34″ = XXS
35–36″ = XS
37–38″ = S
39–40″ = M
41–42″ = L
43–44″ = XL
45–46″ = XXL
47–48″ = 3XL
For jackets, knitwear, and padded outerwear, we grade one size down from the tee scale to allow for structure, lining, and bulk.
