Description:

Item: A 1980s acrylic blend jumper by Baxter and Web, patterned in a series of Fair Isle bands across olive, cream, red, brown and mustard. A row of stylised trees runs across the chest against a red and brown ground, framed above and below by narrower geometric and diamond repeats. Set on a funnel neck, with ribbed cuffs and hem.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: The tree row is the focal point, cream trunks and canopies set against a red and brown ground that reads almost like an autumn scene rather than a standard geometric repeat. The bands above and below shift in scale and colour, diamonds, dots, crosses, without ever quite repeating the same combination twice, and the funnel neck gives it a slightly different shape than a standard crew.
