Description:

Item: Fully reversible quilted cotton blend jacket with an all-over block print, button-through front, collarless round neckline and contrast bound edges. Boxy, roomy cut with dropped shoulders and full sleeves.

Era: 1980s

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: A quilted jacket printed with a paisley boteh design in deep red and gold against an indigo blue ground, running through the body and sleeves before giving way to a deep red border of flowering panels at the hem. Narrow patterned braid binds the neckline, front opening and hem edges. The quilting is worked in fine vertical channels across the whole piece, and the front placket runs in a contrasting maroon vine print. The neckline is cut round and collarless, and the cut is boxy and roomy through the body.
