Description:

Item: Denim jacket with hand painted cowhide-pattern yoke panels, faceted glass button front, pointed collar, two flap chest pockets and leather fringing at the sides. Boxy, cropped cut with dropped shoulders.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: A Caché denim jacket with panels across both shoulders hand painted in a brown and white cowhide pattern, the markings carrying up onto the collar points. The paint is worked freehand so each patch sits differently on the two sides. Faceted glass buttons in tortoiseshell and clear run down the front and fasten each chest pocket, and tan leather fringing hangs from the side seams at the waist. The denim is a mid stonewash blue in the standard western cut, and the body is cropped and boxy with dropped shoulders.
