Provenance Note: Zegna has been weaving cloth in Trivero since 1910, and their tailoring carries that heritage directly into the construction. This is a 1990s example in the decade's characteristic broad-shouldered cut - substantial without being stiff, and finished to the standard you'd expect from one of Italy's most serious cloth houses. Black in this weight of Zegna cloth holds its depth well and the patch hip pockets give it a slightly sportier register than a formal suit jacket, making it a genuinely versatile piece.
