Description:

Item: A 1990s reproduction of the classic US Army M65 field jacket, made by H.P.S. Faithful to the original specification in all the key details: four-pocket configuration, concealed hood, drawstring waist and hem, and brass zip to the front. A well-made civilian take on one of the most enduring military jacket designs of the twentieth century, in clean olive drab.

Provenance Note: H.P.S. were among a number of American manufacturers producing faithful reproductions of military field clothing for the civilian market during the 1980s and 90s, at a time when surplus M65s were becoming harder to find in good condition. Made to the same pattern and cut as the issued jacket, these pieces were aimed at buyers who wanted the real thing in wearable shape. A solid example of the type.
