Provenance notes:

This multi-colour racing jacket was produced in the mid-to-late 1990s during the height of NASCAR’s merchandising boom. It is associated with Terry Labonte, two-time NASCAR Winston Cup Champion (1984, 1996), who drove the No. 5 Kellogg’s Chevrolet Monte Carlo for Hendrick Motorsports.

The jacket features full sponsor embroidery, including Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Quaker State, GMAC, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Raisin Bran, and the NASCAR logo, reflecting the sponsorship-heavy era of stock car racing. Jackets of this type were sold trackside and through licensed NASCAR outlets, blurring the line between fan gear and replica driver apparel.

With its oversized logos, bright colour-blocking, and chenille-style Kellogg’s rooster, the design embodies the bold late-1990s motorsport aesthetic that has since become highly collectible in both the streetwear and vintage racing markets.

Authentic examples such as this one, especially tied to major championship drivers like Labonte, are sought after as crossover pieces of sporting history and fashion culture.

A few marks on the arm but a relatively rare piece.
