Description:

Item: Levi's 550 relaxed fit jeans in mid-wash blue. Classic five-pocket styling, leather patch to rear waistband, red tab. The 550 sits with a relaxed seat and thigh, tapering slightly to the leg opening — a roomier cut than the 501 without going full workwear wide.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: Made in USA Levi's carry a straightforward distinction — domestic production wound down through the 1990s and was largely finished by 2003, so these predate that. The 550 was introduced in 1984 as Levi's answer to demand for a more relaxed cut, and the USA-made examples from the late 80s and 90s are consistently the best of the run. Solid denim, honest construction, and a fit that's aged well in reputation as well as in denim.
