Condition: Fair vintage condition with notable wear. Lining is heavily frayed, leather elbow patches show age cracking, and knit cuffs/hem have fraying. Structurally sound overall and displays well, with patch remaining intact.

Provenance Note:

An authentic varsity jacket dating from the late 1940s into the early 1950s, combining 40s design traits such as the pointed collar and reinforced elbow patches with the newer snap-front closure that became standard in the 50s. The chenille “R” patch with “Mgr.” identifies it as a team manager’s jacket, making it a distinctive and historic piece of American sportswear.
