Item: WWII-era USMC HBT shooting jacket in olive drab cotton herringbone twill. Collarless construction with button front, single chest pocket, reinforced shooting shoulder and oversized oval elbow patches. Functional, purpose-built design intended for training and marksmanship use.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with honest service wear throughout. Fabric remains strong with good structure; reinforcement panels intact and well-defined. No major damage or structural issues. Wear is consistent with age and use and adds to the character of the piece.

Provenance note: This is the classic WWII-era USMC HBT shooting jacket pattern, instantly recognisable by its asymmetric shoulder pad and exaggerated elbow reinforcements. Produced for wartime training rather than parade wear, these were made to be used hard and discarded, making survivors increasingly scarce. A highly functional garment with real military provenance and a strong crossover appeal for collectors and workwear enthusiasts alike.
