Item: 50s wool varsity cardigan in powder blue with red chenille “J” and “ST” chest patches, plus felt name tabs “JOHN” and “ST. JOSEPH” at the hem. Five-button front, rib cuffs, patch pockets and classic deep V neckline.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with light, honest wear. Wool remains strong with excellent shape and handle; buttons secure; patches bright and well seated. Minor age marks only, no holes or structural issues.

Provenance note: True mid-century school knits with intact chenille, name tabs and original hardware are increasingly difficult to source, especially in this uncommon powder blue. The “St. Joseph” identifiers anchor it to a specific programme and era, giving it both display impact and story. A standout letterman with real 50s presence, ready for collection or everyday wear.
