Original 1952 varsity letterman cardigan produced by Nelson Knitting Mill. Heavy knit construction in a rich royal blue, finished with classic button-front closure and ribbed cuffs and hem. Features original felt varsity lettering including a large “M” patch, sleeve numeral and chain-stitched name detail, all applied in period. Cut is boxy with a straight body and relaxed shoulders, exactly as intended for early-1950s athletic knitwear rather than a modern fitted silhouette.

Good vintage condition. Knit remains structurally sound with strong colour throughout the front and sleeves.
