Description:
Item:
A beautifully made tailored blazer by Capital Cloth in a classic green and brown check wool. Featuring a clean two-button front, strong lapels and a timeless sporting silhouette, this is a jacket that sits perfectly between formal tailoring and traditional country wear. The pattern is rich but understated, giving it depth without ever feeling loud.
Era:
1960s to 1970s
Brand:
Capital Cloth
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The wool remains strong with excellent colour and clarity to the check pattern. No structural issues. Lining is intact and clean. Honest, light wear only, exactly what you want from a proper jacket of this age.
Provenance Note:
Capital Cloth was known for producing quality tailoring during a period when British menswear still valued fabric, cut and longevity above trend. This blazer captures that ethos perfectly. The check cloth, construction and proportions place it firmly in the golden era of tailored sport jackets, where pieces were built to last decades rather than seasons. It’s the kind of jacket that works just as well today as it did fifty years ago, quietly confident, endlessly wearable, and increasingly hard to find in this condition.
