Description:

Item: Lightweight cotton poly blend smock coat with an all-over geometric medallion pattern, zip front, pointed collar and side pockets. Straight, roomy smock cut with dropped shoulders and set-in sleeves.

Era: 1960s

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: A lightweight smock coat in a navy ground worked all over with a tan lattice, each diamond holding a stepped medallion picked out in tan with a blue centre. The pattern repeats evenly across the body, sleeves and collar. A metal zip runs the length of the front, and the pointed collar sits open at the neck. The cut is straight and roomy through the body with dropped shoulders and slip pockets set into the side seams, so it pulls on easily over other layers.
