Description:

Item: Classic coach’s varsity jacket with dark green wool body, cream leather sleeves and striped wool knits. Chain-stitched “Coach” felt “B” to chest; large back applique reads “Brick Township” with football and “63.” Snap front, handwarmer pockets, quilted lining.

Era: 1963 (early 1960s)

Brand: Fordham Felt Works

Condition: Strong overall with honest use. Leather sleeves show creasing, surface marks and age toning; wool body clean with small marks only; knits with light fray in places; snaps sound. Presents superbly.

Provenance note: Coach-issue jackets with full school back graphics are far scarcer than student lettermen. The Brick Township 1963 football back and chest “B Coach” make this a display-worthy piece of American high-school sports history, with the right mid-century materials and presence collectors want.
