Item: Original 1970s check trousers in a sharp grey, black and burgundy pattern with a clean straight leg and classic tailored finish. A strong everyday 1970s shape with a neat line through the leg and a very wearable balance between statement and versatility. As with many good trousers from the era, the fabric has a crisp handle and holds its shape well. Vintage polyester of this period was made as a durable, premium fabric designed for longevity, structure and colour retention, and is very different in feel and intent from modern fast-fashion polyester.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Presents well with clean pattern definition and only light, honest signs of age and wear. A strong, easy-to-wear vintage trouser with plenty of life left in it.

Provenance Note: These are exactly the sort of 1970s trousers that work because the pattern does the talking without becoming difficult to wear. The muted grey base with darker overcheck keeps them smart, while the cut gives them that clean late-century line people want. A very useful pair that can lean sharp or casual depending on how they are styled.
