Description:

Item: 1970s European sheepskin coat in deep espresso-brown suede with a dense, mid-brown sheepskin interior. Single-breasted cut with a softly shaped collar faced in fleece, giving a slightly more understated look than wide shawl-collar examples while still offering excellent warmth. Panelled construction through the body and sleeves, with exposed fleece at the hem and cuffs adding weight and insulation. A solid, well-balanced piece that sits comfortably between tailored and utilitarian.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The suede remains supple with even wear and a rich, settled patina. No cracking or dryness present. The sheepskin lining is clean, thick, and retains good loft throughout. Minor surface marks are consistent with age and use and add to the overall character.

Provenance Note:
This is a classic 1970s sheepskin built for everyday wear in cold climates, not a lightweight fashion interpretation. Cut from full skins and designed to age slowly, these coats soften and mould to the wearer over time. Examples like this, with strong structure and intact fleece, are becoming increasingly difficult to find in genuinely wearable condition.
