Description:

Item: 1970s short sleeve blouse by TGL of Sweden in acetate, deadstock condition. Solid red throughout with a subtle tonal burnout or jacquard-effect texture across the fabric, giving the surface a faintly mottled, dimensional quality. Pointed shirt collar with a self-fabric tie, full button placket with amber-tone buttons, chest pocket with double button detail, and short sleeves with turn-back cuffs. A fitted, clean-cut blouse with a strong colour and a quietly interesting surface.

Provenance Note: The acetate fabric here has a subtle surface texture that catches the light and gives the otherwise plain red an additional depth — the tonal pattern becoming visible as the fabric moves, adding interest without adding colour. Acetate takes dye with a particular richness and the red here is deep and fully saturated. The amber-tone buttons are a well-chosen contrast against the ground, warm rather than stark. The self-fabric tie at the collar is a small detail that gives the neckline an easy, relaxed finish. In deadstock condition throughout.
