Description:

Item: A zip-front track top in a vivid red poly blend, with a fine white stripe running down both sleeves and white piping along the zip and collar. Full-length white zip, raglan sleeves and ribbed cuffs and hem. Generously cut through the body - clean, unfussy and very wearable. The single white sleeve stripe is a quietly classic detail that gives the plain red body just enough definition.

Provenance Note: The plain colourway track top with contrast sleeve stripe was the workhorse of 1970s European sportswear - simple, practical and worn by athletes and ordinary men in equal measure as the decade's enthusiasm for casual activewear began to reshape everyday dress. In a vivid red with white detailing it carries a clean, sporting energy that has never really dated, and the generous cut of the era gives it a relaxed ease that slimmer later versions rarely matched.
