Item: Vintage 1970s velvet blazer in a rich brown tone with an all-over geometric patterned finish. Classic two-button front with broad lapels, welt chest pocket and lower patch pockets, cut in that slightly longer, easy 1970s tailored line. The silhouette is sharp but relaxed, while the patterned velvet gives it real depth and visual movement.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Velvet remains plush with strong colour and clear pattern definition throughout. Light, honest signs of wear only, consistent with age, but overall a clean and highly wearable piece.

Provenance Note: This is exactly the kind of blazer that shows the more decadent side of 1970s tailoring. The cut is classic, but the patterned velvet takes it somewhere far more atmospheric, giving it proper period richness without losing wearability. Pieces like this are increasingly hard to find well because they rely so much on both fabric and shape being right, and when they are, they bring a huge amount of character into a wardrobe.
