Original 1970s wool blend half circle skirt in a rich red check with soft pink, burgundy and cream tones throughout. Cut with a high waist and a fluid wrap-style drape through the front, giving it that easy swaying shape that works so well on 70s skirts with a little weight and movement.

This is a very good 1970s skirt because the fabric and cut are doing exactly what you want them to. The checked wool blend gives it warmth, depth and a lovely soft texture, while the half circle shape creates movement without losing that neat, structured line through the waist. The colour palette is especially strong here too, with those rich reds and softer pink tones giving it plenty of visual appeal and making it an easy piece to build around.
