Item: Original 1970s Woolrich wool shirt jacket in classic red and black buffalo plaid. Traditional button-front design with twin chest flap pockets, pointed collar and a heavier overshirt feel that sits between shirt and jacket. Regular cut originally, though this example now wears a little trimmer due to some shrinkage in the wool, which is reflected in the price.

Condition: Good vintage condition. Wool still presents very well with strong colour, bold plaid pattern and honest wear that adds character. There is some shrinkage to the wool, which affects the feel and fit slightly, and this has been reflected in the pricing. Still a strong, wearable piece with plenty of life left in it.

Provenance Note: This is exactly the sort of old Woolrich piece people keep coming back for. The red buffalo plaid is one of the great American outdoor patterns, and it always looks right. Even with the shrinkage, it still has the visual strength and substance that make these vintage wool shirts so appealing, and it comes in at a more accessible price because of it.
