Provenance Note: 1970s polyester was engineered very differently to modern synthetics. It is heavier, more structured and far more durable, designed to keep its form over long-term wear. Wrangler used this fabric for its resilience and performance, not as a cost-cutting exercise. The clean drape and rigidity here are exactly why these trousers have survived in wearable condition decades later — a proper example of period manufacturing built to last.
