Provenance note: Polyester in the 1970s was fundamentally different to what most people associate with modern fast-fashion poly. It was heavier, denser and engineered to hold shape, resist creasing and withstand repeated wear without breaking down. Wrangler used these fabrics for durability and practicality, not disposability. The appeal lies in the structure and longevity of the material, which is exactly why trousers like these are still wearable decades on.
