Description:

Item: Adidas track jacket in red, white and navy. Bold horizontal colour-block design with red upper body and sleeves, white mid-stripe carrying the Adidas trefoil logo, navy lower body. Three white stripes to the sleeves, full-length navy zip, two angled zip hand pockets, high stand collar, ribbed cuffs and hem. Relaxed, slightly boxy cut through the body.

Provenance Note: The red, white and navy tricolour block is one of Adidas's most recognisable formats from the 1980s — a palette that carried obvious associations with national athletics teams across Europe and North America, and was worn on podiums and terraces in equal measure throughout the decade. This is a particularly well-preserved example, with the satin-finish shell holding its sheen and the colours remaining strong throughout.
