Description:

Item: Corduroy coat with a faux fur lining throughout, shawl collar, button front, welt hip pockets and hanging chain at the neck. Straight, easy cut with dropped shoulders.

Era: 1980s

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: A black fine-wale corduroy coat lined throughout in a dense golden faux fur, the pile turning over at the shawl collar and showing at the hem and cuffs. Two dark buttons with brass centres fasten the front, and welt pockets are set into the hips. A metal hanging chain is fitted at the back of the neck. The black cord and warm honey-toned fur sit against each other at every edge, and the cut is straight and easy with room for layers beneath.
