Description:

Item: A 1980s wool blend jumper in a Fair Isle pattern across cream, navy, sage, red and black. Bands of snowflake motifs alternate with triangle and arrow repeats running the full width of the body, set on a contrast navy collar with a three-button placket. Finished with ribbed cuffs and hem.

Era: 1980s

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: The repeating snowflake bands are the standout here, three of them stacked through the body, each framed above and below by a run of red and sage triangles. The collar and button placket give it more structure than a standard crew, and the sheer number of pattern rows, arrows, checks, triangles and stars, means it holds up to a proper close look.
