Provenance Note: The studded blazer is a very specific product of 1980s eveningwear dressing, when gold hardware detailing was being applied to lightweight tailoring to give it a dressed-up quality without the weight of a structured jacket. The scattered stud arrangement along the lapels here is restrained enough to work as an accent rather than a statement, and the draped shawl lapel gives the whole piece a fluid, evening-appropriate quality. Acetate and rayon blends of this period drape particularly well, which suits the relaxed, flowing cut here.
