Description:

Item: Wool jacket in a rust and olive houndstooth, with a five-button front, collarless round neckline, buttoned flap chest pockets, welt hip pockets and full lining. Boxy, cropped cut with dropped shoulders.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use.

Provenance Note: A J.G. Hook jacket woven in a small houndstooth of rust and olive, the two colours reading as a warm burnt tone from a distance with the check showing up close. The neckline is cut round and collarless, and five dark buttons run down the front. Two buttoned flap pockets sit at the chest with welt pockets below at the hips, and buttoned tabs finish each cuff. The cut is boxy and cropped with dropped shoulders, and the lining runs in rust.
