Description:

Item: Full-zip track top in red with a wide knitted Nordic snowflake panel across the chest and sleeves in grey, navy and red. Stand collar, ribbed cuffs and elasticated hem. No visible branding. Boxy, relaxed cut through the body.

Note on fabric: Made from old polyester — the kind produced before modern synthetics. It has a weight, drape and texture that sits closer to natural fibres than anything made today, and wears very differently to contemporary polyester.

Provenance Note: The combination of polyester track top construction with a knitted Nordic panel is a very specific moment in 70s European sportswear — the point where après-ski aesthetics and athletic leisurewear crossed over. The snowflake band running all the way around the chest and sleeves is bold and well-executed, and the red holds strong. An unusual piece.
