Description:
Item: Vintage promotional T-shirt for HSCT (Home Shopping Club), featuring bold red and blue house logo graphic with block lettering. Classic corporate promo tee from the early era of televised home shopping, printed on a sky blue cotton blank.
Era: Late 1980s. The graphic language, ink density, and overall layout feel firmly pre-1990s, while the American-made blank and construction point to the tail end of 80s production rather than mid-90s mass output. This is very much a crossover piece, but it lands earlier rather than later.
Brand: American. USA-made blank, consistent with late-80s promotional garment supply before offshore production became dominant in the 1990s.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Fabric has softened nicely with wear, giving it an easy drape and lived-in feel. Minor age-related handling marks only, no significant flaws. Print remains strong with excellent contrast against the pale blue ground.
Provenance Note:
Early home-shopping ephemera is an underappreciated corner of Americana. Pieces like this were produced for staff, events, or limited promotional use rather than retail sale, making survivors increasingly scarce. A clean, graphic example that captures a very specific moment in late-20th-century consumer culture.
